Not willing to eat...

We've started to learn Isabel how to eat. As you can see. We still have a long way to go. She rather puts non-food items in her mouth than real food. She even gives us the finger as you can see on the picture! If you're asking why she's not eating mushy stuff from a spoon: we're trying something different (duh!). This way the food is not forced on her and she's learning to chew.

But I must say: it's getting better since I took this picture. She eats tiny bits of apples and carrots, so she will have a full meal before 2017 :)

"Do you really think she has enough toys?"

...and it has gotten worse since we took this picture :)

Organized.

Did I said in my lst post that I'm getting grip of my time? Well, almost. I cheered a bit too early.

But what is getting better is my personal organization. I'm doing the Getting Things Done (GTD) time management for a few months now and it's great. There's a lot to tell about GTD but in short it just means that you have to put everything in a specific system. A very important part of that system are the checklists and inboxes. I did not realize that there is such a difference between using checklists en using checklists correctly!

The getting out it out of your brain and into a system gives a lot of peace because I don't have to think about all the stuff I have to do. It's now all organized in a system and I can do everything one thing at a time without being distracted by other "stuff". With that said: there's for me still much room for improvement and GTD doesn't help make a baby stop crying :)

The checklists are handled in my Palm, but for my work I use Remember the Milk to keep things seperate. It's one of those websites that are more an online application that a traditional, Web 1.0 website.

Back in the land of the living

Just want to say that this blog is not dead. As you might understand: the birth of Isabel Sakura Ammilay Bos asked for other immediate priorities. I'm getting enough grip on my time to do an occasional post again.

Breaking the barriers

This weekend I finally had my break. I had a new running record: almost 10 kilometers. Since I got trouble with my knees when running long distances, I never ran more than 5-6 kilometers. That's about half an hour running. This weekend I suddenly felt I felt could do more. What helped a lot was the fact that it was finally cold in the mornings after weeks of hot weather. Since this weekend was so successful, I'm going to try to add another kilometer to my route.

Ester's home again

Just a fast post.

Ester's home again. She has to be very quiet and build up her activity. This should keep the contractions under control long enough.

No medication anymore

Ester's off the medication. And she's not getting them anymore although she gets those hard bellies (cramps) again. The doctors don't think she will give birth right away. But our guess is that without the contraction stoppers to mellow the womb, the chance will be higher then before :(
